Kanamori Nagachika

金森長近

1524–1608

A general who served Oda Nobunaga. Rewarded with two-thirds of Ono district in Echizen after suppressing the Ikko-ikki there in 1575, he built Echizen Ono Castle on Kameyama and its castle town. He later moved to Takayama in Hida, where he also built a castle and town.
