Kobori Enshu (Kobori Masakazu)
小堀遠州(小堀政一)
1579–1647
Early Edo-period lord, famous as a tea master and garden designer. In 1615 he carried out the demolition of Uda Matsuyama Castle on the shogunate's orders.
A flatland castle in Kōka, Shiga. Records credit Tokugawa Iemitsu with building it in 1634.
