On clear late-autumn mornings, only the stone walls on the summit rise above a sea of clouds.

赤松広秀(斎村政広)
The last lord of Takeda Castle. He arrived from Tatsuno in Harima in 1585 with a 20,000-koku domain, and the stone walls seen today are thought to date from his rule.
He encouraged silk farming and lacquerware and supported the Confucian scholar Fujiwara Seika, and tradition says his people loved him as a kind ruler. In 1600, after Sekigahara, he was blamed for burning the town during the attack on Tottori Castle and was forced to take his own life at Shinkyoji Temple in Tottori.
