安東愛季
A Warring States lord of northern Dewa Province. He united the Hiyama and Minato branches of the Ando clan, and in 1577, tradition says, handed their castles to his heir and rebuilt Wakimoto Castle as his own residence.
He presented falcons to Oda Nobunaga, and he was later given court rank and the title of chamberlain. He died in 1587 during a campaign against the Tozawa clan and was buried at Hozoji temple below Wakimoto Castle, according to the chronology in Oga City's brochure.
