池田忠雄
Son of Ikeda Terumasa and Tokuhime, a daughter of Tokugawa Ieyasu. He succeeded his brother Tadatsugu as lord of Okayama Castle in 1615.
In the 1620s he built Tsukimi Yagura at the northwest corner of the main enclosure: defensive on the outside, with iron-clad bay windows and drop-holes, and elegant on the inside, with a railed veranda. It survives as an Important Cultural Property.
