Son of the Mino warlord Inaba Ittetsu. He became lord of Gujo Hachiman in 1588 and remade it as a full mountain castle with high stone walls and a keep base.
He sided against the Tokugawa at Sekigahara and in 1600 fought Endo Yoshitaka and Kanamori Arishige for Hachiman Castle.
