A senior retainer of the Hojo clan of Odawara, titled Echizen no Kami, who served as castellan of Kozukue Castle.

Story
He is credited with founding the Soto Zen temple Unsho-in in 1521, where the Kasahara family graves are a Yokohama City Tangible Cultural Property. He leads the samurai procession at the Kozukue Castle Festival.
