加藤清正
A daimyo of Higo (Kumamoto) renowned as a master of stone-wall building. At Nagoya Castle he was in charge of the most important part: the keep's stone base.
He is said to have brought about 20,000 workers from Kumamoto and finished the keep's base in under three months. The tale that he hauled the castle's largest stone, the Kiyomasa Stone, is, according to the official site, a modern invention; that wall was built by Kuroda Nagamasa.
