小出吉英
Early Edo-period lord of Izushi. In 1604 he moved the castle down to the foot of Mt. Ariko, building Izushi Castle and laying out its grid-plan castle town.
He moved the castle from the summit to the foot of the mountain, dug inner and outer moats, and placed temples at the town's entrances. He later ruled Kishiwada in Izumi for a time, and after returning to Izushi he restored Sukyoji temple and surveyed the domain's land, building a firm base for the domain, according to the local tourism association.
