河野通盛
A warrior of the late Kamakura and Nanbokucho periods who served as governor (shugo) of Iyo. He is said to have moved the Kono clan's base from Kono-go (today's Hojo district of Matsuyama) to Yuzuki Castle.
When Ashikaga Takauji turned against the Kenmu government, Michimori joined him and was appointed governor of Iyo by the new Muromachi shogunate, reviving the fortunes of the Kono clan. Tradition credits him with building Yuzuki Castle.
