Son of a former Numata domain samurai and an honorary citizen of Numata. He bought the neglected castle grounds with his own money, made them a park and gave it to the town.
In 1916, saddened by the decay of the castle grounds, he bought them and laid them out as a park. He donated it to the town of Numata in 1926, and it became today's Numata Park.
