水野勝成
A warlord and cousin of Tokugawa Ieyasu. In 1619 he became daimyo of a 100,000-koku domain in Bingo, built Fukuyama Castle and its town, and served as the first lord of the Fukuyama domain.
As a young man he angered his father and wandered from lord to lord, serving Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Kato Kiyomasa among others, before Ieyasu helped reconcile them. He stayed active into old age: he joined the campaign against the Shimabara Rebellion at 74, and a record says that at 87 he hit a target about 36 m away with a matchlock gun.
