A daimyo of the late Edo period who moved from Karatsu to Hamamatsu and later became a senior councilor (roju). He is the lord most often cited when Hamamatsu is called the "Castle of Promotion."
He became a senior councilor in 1828 and later led the Tenpo Reforms, but fell from power.
