毛利元就
A warlord who rose from local lord of Yoshida in Aki Province to dominate much of western Honshu. He expanded his home castle, Koriyama, over an entire mountain.
He became head of the Mori in 1523 and moved into Honjo at the foot of Mount Koriyama. After handing leadership to his eldest son Takamoto, he moved up to the summit and governed from there until his death in 1571 at 75.
