A lord of the Nagano clan based at Minowa Castle, also written Narimasa with a different character. Backed by the Uesugi, he is said to have united the local warriors known as the Minowa-shu and led the clan at its height.
He is said to have driven back Takeda Shingen's attacks many times. Before his death in 1561 he reportedly told his heirs never to surrender, and his death was kept secret for a time. Minowa Castle surrendered to Shingen in 1566, after he was gone.
