中川秀成
First lord of the Oka domain. He moved from Miki in Harima to Oka Castle in 1594 and rebuilt what had been an earthen clifftop fort into a castle enclosed by stone walls.
Building on the rugged terrain that had already proved itself against the Shimazu, he spent 1594 to 1596 turning the earthen fort into an all-stone castle, completing the main enclosures and the main gate.
