奥平信昌
Lord of Nagashino Castle (then named Sadamasa). In 1575 he held the castle against Takeda Katsuyori's great army with 500 men. He later married Ieyasu's eldest daughter, Kamehime, and built Shinshiro Castle.
For his defense, Nobunaga granted him a character from his own name the next year, and he became Nobumasa. He built Shinshiro Castle at Gogahara, which Shinshiro City says gave the city its name.
