酒井忠次
A senior retainer of Tokugawa Ieyasu. When Ieyasu took Yoshida Castle in 1565, he put Tadatsugu in charge of it and of the warriors of eastern Mikawa.
Excavations show that new moats were dug under Tadatsugu, including a V-shaped yagen-bori moat. In his time the castle's main entrance is thought to have faced east, at Akumi-guchi.
