佐野信吉(富田信種)
Son of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's retainer Tomita Tomonobu. Adopted by Tentokuji Hoen in 1592, he became lord of Karasawa, and during the Keicho era (1596–1615) moved his seat down to Sano Castle in the town.
The tall stone walls around Karasawa's main enclosure are thought to have been built in his time using the techniques of Hideyoshi's camp. After Hideyoshi's death, Nobuyoshi moved to Sano Castle and Karasawa was abandoned.
