Sengoku Hidehisa

仙石秀久

A warlord who served Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He became lord of the 50,000-koku Komoro domain in 1590, rebuilt Komoro Castle as a stone-walled castle, and laid out the town around it.

Story

In 1586 he disobeyed orders in a campaign in Kyushu, suffered a heavy defeat, and was stripped of his lands and banished by Hideyoshi. Four years later he won great distinction in the siege of Odawara, was forgiven, and was made lord of Komoro.
