志賀親次
A retainer of the Otomo clan of Bungo and lord of Oka Castle. In 1586, at 18, he held Oka against a large Shimazu army that had invaded Bungo.
The Shimazu attacked Oka three times, and Chikatsugu beat back every assault, earning a letter of praise from Toyotomi Hideyoshi. According to Taketa City, this is how Oka became known as an impregnable castle.
