Honda Tadakatsu
本多忠勝
1548–1610
A leading general of Tokugawa Ieyasu, counted among his "Four Heavenly Kings." In 1590 he became lord of Otaki Castle and, as first lord of the 100,000-koku Otaki domain, laid out the castle and its town.
A flatland castle in Kuwana, Mie. Records credit Honda Tadakatsu, Hitotsuyanagi Kayū with building it in 1601.
