Fujiwara no Asakari
藤原朝狩(藤原恵美朝狩)

A Nara-period aristocrat and son of the powerful statesman Fujiwara no Nakamaro. As governor in Mutsu he carried out a major rebuilding of Tagajo in 762, and the work is recorded on the Tagajo Stele.
An ancient frontier fort in Akita. Records credit Fujiwara no Asakari with building it in 759.
