Third son of Hojo Ujiyasu, third head of the Hojo clan of Odawara. He moved his base from Takiyama Castle and built Hachioji Castle.

A warrior of the Oishi family, a power in western Musashi Province in the warring-states era. He is said to have built Takiyama Castle in 1521. His son Sadahisa submitted to the Hojo and adopted Hojo Ujiteru as his heir.
