Akechi Mitsuhide
明智光秀
?–1582
A senior retainer of Oda Nobunaga. After conquering Tanba in 1579 he built Fukuchiyama Castle and became its first lord. In 1582 he led the Honnoji Incident against Nobunaga.
A flatland castle in Kyoto. It is said to have been built by Hatakeyama Masanaga.

豊臣秀長(羽柴秀長)
1540?–1591
Younger brother of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who supported Hideyoshi's unification of Japan in both war and government. Asago City says he took Takeda Castle in 1577 during his invasion of Tajima and, as its warden, ordered a major rebuilding.
