Younger brother of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who supported Hideyoshi's unification of Japan in both war and government. Asago City says he took Takeda Castle in 1577 during his invasion of Tajima and, as its warden, ordered a major rebuilding.
In 1577, ordered by Hideyoshi to subdue Tajima, Hidenaga captured Takeda Castle and took charge of it as warden. Asago City presents his work in Tajima as the turning point that made his name as a commander.
