Katakura Shigenaga

片倉重長

Kagetsuna's son and the second Katakura Kojuro, first named Shigetsuna. He moved to Shiroishi in 1603 and began laying out the castle town. His fighting at the Siege of Osaka earned him the nickname Oni Kojuro (Demon Kojuro).

Story

Katakura family records count his unmatched valor at the Siege of Osaka, which made Tokugawa Ieyasu and all of Japan recognize the Date forces' achievements, as the second time the family saved the Date house. Shiroishi still holds the Oni Kojuro Festival in his name.
