About this site
Purpose
This site is a database for education, peace learning and research, created after the operator visited Cambodia on a Peace Boat voyage. Rather than only conveying the tragedy of war, it aims to share the story of recovery and of the people working there today, and to give visitors a chance to think about peace.
Information policy
- Historical, statistical and organizational information always carries a source (currently 86 sources registered).
- Statistics state their target year. When figures differ between sources, we note it.
- We do not write guesses. Information whose source cannot be verified is not published.
- The operator’s visit records separate “what I saw (facts)” from “what I felt (impressions)”.
- For landmines and unexploded ordnance, we never publish information that could lead to danger (how they are made, their structure, or details of disposal methods).

How this site is made
AI is used to draft the text and organize the information on this site. However, every factual statement is limited to what was confirmed in the materials listed in the sources section, such as official documents from international organizations, governments and field organizations.
Use in schools and education
You are welcome to use this site for classes, research assignments and peace education. When quoting, please note the page name, the URL and the date you accessed it. Every figure on each page carries a source, so for reports please check the original materials as well whenever possible.
Advertising
Pages introducing Peace Boat may contain advertising (affiliate) links. Such pages always state this clearly. Whether or not a page carries advertising has no influence on our accuracy policy.
