A province in central Cambodia; its capital is Stung Saen (Kampong Thom). Its population in the 2019 census was about 682,000. Only a little mine contamination remains, and the province is close to completing clearance.
As of July 1, 2025, an estimated 3.5 km2 (3,510,164 m2) of anti-personnel mine contamination remains. The CMAA is reported to expect the province to be declared mine-free by the end of 2025. (Target year: 2025) [Ref 0084]
