Siem Reap
A province in northwestern Cambodia; its capital is Siem Reap. Its population in the 2019 census was about 1,014,000, and in 2024 the province hosted the Fifth Review Conference of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.
Landmine situation
As of July 1, 2025, an estimated 28.1 km2 (28,068,982 m2) of anti-personnel mine contamination remains. The government contributed US$200,000 to clearance in the province in 2024, and the CMAA is reported to expect a mine-free declaration by the end of 2025. (Target year: 2025) [Ref 0084]
