Stung Treng
A province in northeastern Cambodia near the Lao border; its capital is Stung Treng. Its population in the 2019 census was about 166,000. The province has been declared mine-free, but its contamination by cluster munition remnants from US bombing is the widest in the east.

UXO situation
The province with the widest cluster munition remnants (CMR) contamination from US bombing during the Vietnam War among the eight eastern provinces. The baseline survey (2009-2018) recorded about 129.5 km2 of CMR contamination and about 30.3 km2 of other unexploded ordnance contamination; together with Kratie, it accounts for about half of the CMR contamination in the east.
