Svay Rieng （スヴァイリエン州）

A province in southeastern Cambodia near the Vietnamese border; its capital is Svay Rieng. Its population in the 2019 census was about 525,000, and it is one of the eight eastern provinces with confirmed unexploded ordnance contamination from US bombing.

UXO situation

One of the eight eastern provinces with confirmed unexploded ordnance contamination from US bombing during the Vietnam War. The baseline survey (2009-2018) recorded about 49.5 km2 of cluster munition remnants (CMR) contamination and about 50.0 km2 of other unexploded ordnance contamination. (Target year: 2019) [Ref 0085]
