AAR Japan
An international NGO born in Japan. Active in Cambodia since 1993, it has supported demining and assisted people with disabilities.
Activities
In Cambodia, it builds and distributes wheelchairs free of charge, supports education for children with disabilities (inclusive education), and provides vocational training. In the past, it also worked on demining in cooperation with a British demining organization.
Achievements
It began working in Cambodia in 1993 and set up a wheelchair workshop in 1994, delivering wheelchairs and walking aids made from local materials free of charge. (Target year: 1994) [Ref 0063]
