AAR Japan's Support in Cambodia (Demining Cooperation and Support for People with Disabilities)
Activities that AAR Japan has continued since 1993, including cooperation in demining, a wheelchair workshop, and education support for children with disabilities.
Overview
AAR Japan began its work in 1993 and set up a wheelchair workshop in 1994, delivering wheelchairs and walking aids free of charge to people with disabilities, including landmine victims. From 1996 to 1999, it carried out demining in cooperation with the HALO Trust of the United Kingdom. Today its main work is inclusive education support so that children with disabilities can attend school.
Outcomes
