Pursat
A province in western Cambodia on the Thai border; its capital is Pursat. Its population in the 2019 census was about 420,000, and its anti-personnel mine contamination is the second largest in the country.
Landmine situation
As of July 1, 2025, the estimated anti-personnel mine contamination is about 106.5 km2 (106,499,658 m2), the second largest in the country after Battambang. In 2024, about 20.9 km2 of previously unrecorded hazardous areas were newly registered, and the comprehensive survey of the Thai border area added about another 19.6 km2.
