About TSUKIJI ATLAS
I worked around Tsukiji for years. And somehow, I had never eaten here.
Now I am going shop by shop: ordering, paying full price, timing the queue, and writing down what it was actually like. That record is this site.
The shop directory underneath comes from the Tsukiji Outer Market association's official listing, in Japanese and English, plus the Tokyo Metropolitan wholesale market's holiday calendar. We do not use review-site scores.
Editorial policy
What we verify ourselves
Price paid, what we ordered, how long we waited, whether English was usable, how we paid, where we sat. Only on shops marked Actually Visited.
What comes from official sources
Shop names, addresses, official hours, closing days, product lines, and the market holiday calendar. Every shop page links to its official listing.
What we do not do
Guess prices for shops we have not eaten at. Rank shops with scores. Use generated images of real food or real shops. Accept payment for coverage. If that ever changes, the page will say Sponsored or PR at the top.
Currency
US dollar figures are approximate, at a fixed rate shown next to the price. They are there for a sense of scale, not for accounting.

What is still missing
- Prices, waits, English support and seating are known only for shops we have visited (0 so far).
- Payment methods are on the official directory for 78 of 325 shops.
- Official hours could not be parsed for 11 shops, and 36 shops change hours by day of week; both show 'Check hours' instead of a live status.
- Shops outside the Outer Market district (Shintomicho, Higashi-Ginza, Akashicho) are not listed.
- We do not track queues day by day. Waits are what we measured on our own visit.
