フンボルト海流の冷たい海。日本向けの生鮮生殖巣の供給国として、1999年の15トンから2001年の86トンへ急に伸びた時期がある（1998年は5トン）。The cold water of the Humboldt Current. As a supplier of fresh roe to Japan, Peru rose sharply from 15 t in 1999 to 86 t in 2001, having been just 5 t in 1998.
