Talk through your idea. Add notes and photos. AI structures your material and drafts the text — and you shape the final book. Export it as a PDF, print-ready files, an EPUB e-book, or a ready-to-submit Amazon publishing package.
Designed by the founder of Asahi Jibunshi — editorial experience from making books with about 1,000 people
You don't have to start by writing. A book can begin with talking, gathering, and choosing.
Books to sell, books to keep, books to show. A personal history is one of the templates — but this is far from a memoir-only service.
The full process has ten steps. Broadly, they come down to these three.
Tell the AI about the book you want to make, then add notes, photos, audio, and documents. Nothing needs to be organized. Simply answering the AI interview builds material too.
From your material, AI proposes a chapter outline and turns spoken words and rough notes into readable draft text. It is designed not to add facts that aren't in your material — but errors can still slip in, so you check the draft at the end.
Revise the draft, place your photos, refine the cover. The finished book exports as a PDF, print-ready files, an EPUB e-book, or an Amazon publishing package.
The roles are clearly divided — which is why you can hand work over with confidence. What goes into your book is always your call.
BOOK://'s AI is designed not to add facts that are not in your material. Even so, errors cannot be ruled out entirely. Its role is limited to structuring, drafting, and translation support — and every generated passage is reviewed and approved by you, the author, before it becomes part of your book. Details in How We Use AI.
From one book file, export in the format that fits how you want to deliver it.
Your finished book as a clean PDF — send it, share it, and it reads beautifully even on a phone.
A press-ready PDF and a high-resolution cover, ready to hand to a printer. A paper book you can hold.
Export in EPUB, the standard e-book format — usable with major readers and store submissions.
Manuscript and cover formatted for Amazon KDP, plus a sales-page description, author bio, and keyword suggestions.
Publishing on Amazon happens through your own Amazon KDP account. BOOK:// never publishes automatically on your behalf — we prepare the complete submission package and a step-by-step guide.
Create in your own language. Publish for readers in another culture. BOOK:// supports translation, editing, design, and publishing files — all with AI.
From Japan to the world. From the world to Japan.
A book written in Japanese, re-edited for readers abroad. Not a word-for-word swap — the title, cover, and structure are rebuilt to meet the reader's culture.
Knowledge and stories from abroad, reshaped for Japanese readers — including glossaries and a re-edited opening chapter, delivered as a natural Japanese edition.
Concept samples of books you can make with BOOK://. The samples page shows ten of them — covers, tables of contents, and the raw material each was built from.
All covers and titles are concept samples. They do not depict real books or real people.
Sample cover art is AI-generated for illustration.
BOOK:// was designed by Masami Oginuma, who founded the personal-history publishing service "Asahi Jibunshi" while at The Asahi Shimbun Company. They have been part of making personal-history books with about 1,000 people, including fully bespoke volumes costing more than ¥1,000,000 each. BOOK:// turns that editorial experience into a book-making system anyone can use, powered by AI.
BOOK:// is not a memoir service for seniors. Whatever your age or profession, it exists to turn what you want to say, keep, sell, or show into a book.
